Tickets nearly sold out for annual Charity Christmas Holly Ball.
Only a handful of tickets are left for the 2011 annual charity Christmas Holly Ball in this, the event’s landmark 25th Anniversary year.
The Holly Ball, organised by Mann Made Events, is one of the longest running charity events in the Ilkley area and started life as the Rotaract Christmas Ball (part of the Rotary Club) back in the late 80s. It has developed to become a high-profile charity event in Ilkley’s social calendar and one that has raised thousands of pounds for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
The Ball takes place on Saturday 10 December at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley and proceeds again will be donated to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Organiser Fiona Mann spoke of her excitement “I am amazed and delighted that, in these continuously difficult times, people are still prepared to support this worthwhile cause. We have an amazing ABBA tribute band booked, together with a disco and we are looking forward to a wonderful evening, which will really get people in the Christmas party mood.”
Ilkley’s Virtual College, the UK’s leading online training provider, has once again generously agreed to be the Main Sponsor of the event. The sponsorship coincides with Virtual College celebrations in achieving the 500,000 online learners milestone. And in just a few weeks, Virtual College has trained a further 100,000 learners, taking the total to over 600,000 an achievement of which they are justifiably proud.
Lesley Ord, Operations Director for Virtual College said 'We deliver online training worldwide but we see sponsoring this local event in our landmark year as a way of raising our profile within the local community as well, and of course, helping raise money for a very worthy cause.'
Established in 1995, Virtual College employs a team of over 70 people in Ilkley and with over 650,000 online learners world-wide and over 150 online courses to choose from, is the UK’s leading player in the e-learning arena. Please visit their website to see how they can help your business grow. www.virtual-college.co.uk
The ticket price for the Holly Ball, at just £48 per head for a glass of bubbly on arrival, four course dinner and dancing to live music and the Rod Hepworth disco, represents excellent value for money for a Christmas charity function.
Mrs Mann has added an urgent plea for local companies to support the event. “As expected in these difficult times, sourcing raffle prizes and financial donations is becoming ever more difficult. If you are able to help by donating either a raffle prize or making a financial donation, please do get in touch and I will be delighted to recognise your contribution in the evening’s menu / programme, which will be on every table, as well as the bars and wine stations.
For further details, to be added to the mailing list or to make a donation please either contact Mrs Mann directly on telephone 01943 830533 or email fiona.mann@mannmadeevents.co.uk
